To make them easy to find, we've collected commonly asked questions about G4A, applying for funding for health care startups, the support we offer, and human centered design. Through venture design, we're able to put people at center of everything we do. If you have a question that isn't found below, please Contact Us!
G4A Partnerships are a great opportunity to get your solution in front of Bayer executives and decision makers. All the applications will be reviewed by key stakeholders who have global visibility and responsibility. If selected for the challenge(s) you’ve applied to, you will engage in conversations with Bayer representatives to determine a model of partnership that is mutually beneficial.
Legal entities or persons who are 18 years old or older may apply for our G4A initiatives. Bayer employees or their families may not apply. Bayer subcontractors may apply. For some G4A initiatives it will be possible for Bayer employees to apply. Please only apply to challenge areas that you believe your solution solves.
Please submit your application in English.
Terms and Conditions are provided on the application platform .

We have two tracks this year for the G4A Partnerships: Growth and Advance. Growth track will be reserved for early stage startups with a minimal viable product (Bootstrapped-Series A) with on-going validation or published findings and the Advance Track will be reserved for companies which are more mature who have products already in the market.
We are considering different possible business models and collaboration relationships. The decision will be made on a one-to-one basis for each finalist companies.
We are accepting applications from April 1st until May 31st, 2019 11:59pm CET. Applications will be open for you to submit your solution to the G4A SurveyMonkey Apply platform. You will need to fill out an online form in which you will be able to provide information about your solution, as well as a PDF and video presentation on your product, various information about your company, and your team. The application process will take about 30 min for each challenge (dependent on whether or not you have all the information readily available).
Check out our application review timeline here.
The winning companies will start negotiation and collaboration with the challenge owners from Bayer and be invited to Berlin, Germany for Signing Day!

In some special cases - only if stated by the specific G4A initiative - we might cover your traveling costs.
Yes, the original product ownership remains with the applicant, however in cases of product co-development between Bayer and the Startup Company, there will be terms which mutual parties will agree on (this will change on a case by case basis)
